I think I have the process of How to Convert a Jeep Wrangler to a Land Rover Defender pretty well ironed out at this point. I’ve had several people reach out to me for more information. Because of this, I’ve decided that encouraging others to get excited about doing the conversion themselves would be beneficial if I can reach a larger audience.

I decided to document the entire process and post it to YouTube in a ten part series titled: How to convert a Jeep Wrangler JKU to a Land Rover Defender. Part 1 is available here:

Before anyone decides to tackle this conversion on their own, I would like to provide some words of caution. “You must have lots of free time on your hands, plenty of money and basic knowledge of how to use tools.” Beyond that, anyone can do it with determination.

I love my conversions and have decided that I may sell them in order to build new ones. I’d really like a manual transmission and a build from 2012 with the Arctic Blue color. I might even try some air conditioned seats as it gets mighty warm down in Florida.

I’m headed back up to Maine in a few weeks to spend the summer. I’ve purchased a Bobcat skid steer and hope to become proficient with it’s operation before October which is when I’ll come back to Florida. If anyone is looking for a Land Rover Defender for sale that is built on a Jeep Wrangler, I’ll be available for consultation. Just head on over to this page, fill out the form and I’ll reply quickly.

Have a great summer guys. Enjoy your summer ride.
